Mixture of Local Anaesthetic and Steroids  

A combination of a local anaesthetic, or numbing agent, which provides immediate relief, and a corticosteroid, such as Depomedrone or Triamcinolone. The steroid reduces inflammation and often can relieve your pain for several weeks or even months at a time. Immediate reduction in pain means proper needle placement that is an injected joint or nerve is indeed a source of your pain.
